Michael’s Kitchen Transformation – Laminate Countertop to Granite Upgrade

Michael wanted to update his kitchen and start by replacing his old laminate countertop and sink with something more modern and durable. The existing laminate countertops were outdated, and the sink and plumbing setup needed improvement as well. Our goal was to transform the space with new granite countertops, a new sink, updated plumbing, and a cleaner overall look.

What We Did

We started by carefully removing the existing laminate countertop and sink without damaging the surrounding cabinets. Once the countertops were removed, we prepared the cabinets and coordinated the templating process for the new granite countertops to ensure a precise fit.

For this project, we:

• Removed and disposed of the existing laminate countertop
• Removed the existing sink and faucet
• Prepared cabinets for new stone installation
• Coordinated templating, fabrication, and installation of the new granite countertops
• Installed a new undermount sink
• Installed a new faucet
• Updated and reworked the plumbing connections under the sink
• Installed new shutoff valves and drainage connections as needed
• Tested all plumbing connections for leaks and proper operation

We also coordinated with a licensed plumber to make sure the plumbing connections, shutoff valves, drain connections, and sink installation were done properly and up to code.

The Final Result

The transformation made a huge difference in the kitchen. The new granite countertops completely upgraded the look of the space, and the new undermount sink and faucet gave the kitchen a much more modern and clean appearance. Updating the plumbing at the same time also ensured that everything under the sink was new, properly installed, and functioning correctly.

What started as an old laminate countertop and basic sink setup was transformed into a modern kitchen with granite countertops, a new sink, new faucet, and updated plumbing.
