Jim’s Kitchen Upgrade – Custom Backsplash Installation



Jim was looking to take his kitchen to the next level by adding a backsplash that would tie everything together and protect the walls behind his countertops. While the countertops were already in place, the space still felt incomplete — the walls lacked that finished, polished look that a proper backsplash provides.

Our goal was to enhance the overall appearance of the kitchen while delivering a clean, durable, and professionally installed backsplash that would complement the existing design.

What We Did

We began by preparing the wall surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and a long-lasting installation. This included cleaning, smoothing, and making sure the surface was ready for tile.

For this project, we:

• Prepped and cleaned all backsplash wall areas
• Protected surrounding countertops and cabinetry
• Measured and planned the tile layout for a balanced, symmetrical finish
• Cut tiles precisely around outlets, corners, and edges
• Installed the backsplash tile with proper spacing and alignment
• Applied grout evenly for a clean, consistent look
• Sealed and cleaned the finished surface
• Reinstalled outlet covers and completed all finishing details

Special attention was given to layout and cuts to ensure everything lined up cleanly, especially around outlets and transitions.

The Final Result

The new backsplash completely transformed Jim’s kitchen. What was once a plain wall area is now a standout feature that adds both style and function. The tile brings everything together, creating a cohesive look between the countertops, cabinets, and overall space.

Beyond appearance, the backsplash also adds durability and makes cleaning much easier, protecting the walls from moisture, grease, and everyday wear.
